Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

It rained yesterday. So I made cookies. I bake when it rains. Like, all the time. I don’t know why, but I think it has something to do with the fact that I hate going out when its raining, so I feel trapped in the house all day which leads me to feel stressed which leads me to need a cookie or cupcake or cake pop or something doused in sugar that definitely can’t be good for my health.

I really do love oatmeal cookies. The texture, the oatyness(?), the flavor. Ugh I die for them live for them would do a dance naked while balancing apples on my head in the middle of time square if it meant I could be paid 12,000 dollars worth in oatmeal cookies. Seriously, I have problems people. Why do you even read this blog?
I also don’t have a step-by-step tutorial for your all like I usually do. Partially because my camera was half dead and partially because I was also in the middle of doing a conference call for a fun upcoming project here. Cross yo fingers for me!
I don’t know which ones I like more. Oatmeal Raisin or Oatmeal Chocolate. DID YOU KNOW that Rite Aid has these amazing/awesome/id do the dance in time square again Oatmeal raisin cookies in the DOLLAR section. OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG. Its like, a pack of 8 for a dollar. If you needed any more proof that there was a God then I don’t even know what to tell you.
See if your Rite Aid has these because they are seriously kickass.
Now just look at cookies.
These were super delicious and I’m excited to share them with you. Heres the handy dandy recipe:
1 Cup sugar
1 Cup butter
1 Cup flour
2 Cups Quick Oats
1 Cup Chocolate Chips1 Tsp. baking soda (sifted with flour)
1 Egg
1 T spoon cinnamon

Combined all dry ingredients and butter in a bowl. Fold the butter in, then pour in 1 egg that has already been beaten. Texture should be crumbly and thick. Dump in your chocolate chips and combined.
Roll up a teaspoons worth of dough with your palms, and flatten it on a greased baking sheet with the back of a spoon. In a 375 degree oven for 10-12 minutes!
