I’m really throwing you another shrimp recipe here. Back to back. What is this? Who am I? Why do you even read this mess of a blog? And I suppose you don’t want to hear me apologize about how annoying I am, again, but GOD I’m annoying.

Whoa and P.S, whats up with American Horror Story and the twist it took last episode? I just can’t…deal anymore. My heart is in my face every scene. Brilliant. Amazing. And the season ends next week!! No!!
What do you think next season is going to be about? I was seriously brainstorming about this the other day instead of making the bed (obvi), and I just couldn’t figure something out. Vampires?? I hope not. Please yea NO. Can that trend just end? Ugh I’m sorry. I am SUCH a hypocrite its not even funny seeing as I’m, like, totally in love with Ian Somerhalder and he just so happens to be on Vampire Diaries and whatever. Would you expect anything more from me?
And ugh I’ve been strangely, magnificently, amazingly addicted to just making shrimp smothered with garlic and lemon, and now.. surrounded by pasta. I’m a mess. Just.. I don’t even know. But Shrimp Scampi is a dear dear favorite in the Food and the City household, and well, the amounts of it that are consumed just aren’t normal and it was time to lighten the recipe up a bit.
Still amazing, still fantabulous, and just still… I’m done….
Lighter Shrimp Scampi
6 ounces Angel Hair Pasta
1 lb Shrimp
3 tbs Lemon Juice
1/2 cup Fresh Parsley
2 tbs Olive Oil
1 Small onion, diced
2 Garlic cloves, minced
1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
1/3 cup White Wine
Cook your angel hair pasta according to the package. Set aside.
Heat up your olive oil on medium-high heat. Add the onion, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Stir around and let onions slightly brown. About 2 minutes. Place in shrimp, and allow to cook evenly for about 3 1/2 minutes. Pour in your lemon juice, white wine, and sprinkle on half of your fresh parsley. Stir and continue to cook for another minute.
Toss in your cooked angel hair pasta and mix to combined. Sprinkle on remaining chopped parsley.
