I listened to @jennabhager talk about her grandmother Barbara Bush on the today show this morning, and it struck a cord in my heart seeing as my own grandfather passed away 2 weeks ago today. 2 weeks isn’t a large amount of time, but it definitely feels more like 2 years when you miss someone. I got to spend the last couple of months of my grandfathers life just being with him, almost everyday, and it’s time that I will treasure in my heart forever. ❤️ They aren’t kidding when they say it’s time you’ll never get back, so TAKE IT while it’s yours for the taking. The stories you’ll hear, the borderline career ending comments that will innocently come out of their mouths because “it was a different time” and “everyone left their door unlocked”... it’s priceless.. and you won’t find such candidness anywhere else. 👵🏼👴🏼😆 Soo, on a day that we look back at past photos from drunken college nights in 2010, let’s instead look back at the lives of our elders, and honor them for who they were and what they did for their families to allow us to be who we are today. Grandparents are a gift; a gift we sometimes take advantage of, and leave under the Christmas tree a little too long until it’s a little too late, but they’re a gift like no other, and I hope you take today to honor, cherish, and remember those who did it all before us. They’re the real rockstars of this world. 😉😘❤️🙏🏼 (sidenote: my grandfather totally resembled @buddyvalastro)

just a little drake + cake to use as my pre-workout 😜 soo attractive, I KNOW 🤣 on the real, I woke up today feeling shitty about eating like crap this weekend, and ALMOST let that ruin my day. An hour went by until I thought to myself, literally what do any of those days have to do with one another? Why, because I ate a pint of @magnoliabakery banana bread pudding yesterday, and maybe 1 or 2 (possibly 3) donuts on Friday, would that have any sort of impact on what I ate today? My body (& yours!) has absolutely no clue what day or time it is. All it knows is the amount of food I’m putting into it, and how often i’m moving it, on a LONG TERM basis. A handful of days in which you felt like you ate “less than perfect” (which is crazy, cuz like, my hand-to-mouth coordination is *perfect* no matter what I’m eating 🤷🏻‍♀️) soo what does it even MEAN to eat perfect? I think we should wipe out the current definition, and instead, replace it with: “eat whatever the fuck you want as long as it makes you feel good and happy,” and then maybeeee I’ll focus on “eating perfectly” more often 😉 LONG STORY SHORT — you can eat THE THINGS🍦🍟🍩 & still be healthy and happy with how you look and feel my friends. Balancebalancebalance... by far my favorite word of 2018. 💋
